Configuring Acrobat Reader 5.0
A known issue with Acrobat Reader 5.0 may cause a pdf document not to load when using the Acrobat browser plugin. If you are having difficulty getting Adobe Acrobat to open a pdf document from this site, we suggest that you follow the instructions below to adjust the settings for Acrobat.
|
Step 1
Launch Acrobat 5.0 by opening the program or opening a .pdf file.
|
Step 2
Edit Acrobat Preferences by selecting the "Preferences..." link in the Edit Menu.
|
Step 3
Select the "Options" link and make sure that the "Display PDF in Browser" is unchecked. This will force Acrobat 5.0 to open all .pdf files with the program, rather than the browser plug-in.
This should solve any problems you have been experience with Acrobat 5.0 not opening .pdf files from web pages.
